As we begin this campaign, a beautiful step in our ministry, we want to always keep our hearts centered on God. This is not about a building; it’s about bringing people to Jesus. We are the church, all of us together as brothers and sisters in Christ -- united to connect, grow, and serve. Being a part of this next step in our ministry is about being united in Christ. We must be the church, seeking God’s will and giving as cheerful givers, as God calls us to. Our mission is to bring God’s love to all the people we can and further His kingdom through our ministry. However, it’s never about what we can do; it’s about what God can do. God is love. He makes all things possible, He is what made being here today in this church as a family possible. He is the one that changes hearts. So we pray through this campaign, that God works through us so that we give Him all the glory through our lives and our ministry!
Our theme verse is Psalm 100:5: For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.
That’s what this is all about. We know God’s love endures forever, and we want all people of all generations to rely on His love and faithfulness. We have so many generations represented in our church and so much history in this building. It’s amazing, and we want our ministry to continue for generations to come, all to the glory of God.
Pray-A-Thon - December 12
Join us for our Prayer Event!
We are having a “Pray-a-thon” on Saturday, December 12th -- starting at 9 am through 9 pm!
We would love for each family and/or individuals to commit to one hour during the morning, afternoon, or evening. Everyone is welcome to come to the church to pray. We will be here all day, so the church will be open!
In the church, we will have four prayer stations set up in the adult Sunday School area, the preschool Sunday School area, in the gathering area, and in the sanctuary for everyone to pray over our future ministry.
If you are unable to join us at the church, you can pray from home! If that’s the case, we would love it if you sent us a picture of a written prayer, a picture of you or your family praying, or a video of your prayers.
Or reply to email@example.com with the time slot of your choice.
We can’t wait for you to join us all in prayer, as we seek God’s will in our ministry, for generations to come!
So that social distancing may happen, we will stagger the times to begin the stations every half hour, 9 a.m., 9:30 a.m., 10 a.m., etc. through 9 p.m.
You are welcome to stay a half-hour, an hour, or however long you wish to pray over the mission of Ascension Lutheran -- For Generations to Come.
